How an order works

Nothing here should be a surprise — it is the same thing the rest of the site says, collected in one place so it is on the record.

A quote doesn’t commit you to anything

Asking for a price costs nothing and obliges you to nothing. Nothing is made, and nothing is charged, until you have seen a proof and said yes to it.

The calculator gives an estimate

The figure the calculator shows is a real price for that size, quantity and set of upgrades — not a starting-from rate. It covers the pins, the design and proofing, the tooling, and standard shipping and handling.

A faster delivery service, if your deadline needs one, is quoted separately.

It remains an estimate in one other way: an unusual shape, extra moving pieces or a genuinely custom mechanism can move it. We will tell you before you commit rather than afterwards.

Where the price sheet does not cover something, the site says so and we quote it by hand. The smallest order we make is 50 pins.

Approving a proof is the point of no return

We send you a proof and you approve it in writing. Revisions before that point are included — there is no limit and no charge.

Once you approve it, your pins are made exactly as shown. If the approved proof turns out to have something wrong with it, putting that right is a second production run at your cost. So show it to anyone else who needs to see it before you reply, and send all your changes at once.

Artwork you send us

You need the rights to whatever you send, and you are the one who has to have them. Send it anyway if you are not sure — a school, a league or a local business will often say yes, and we would rather help you ask than turn a design away. What we cannot do is make the pin before that permission is in hand.

You keep ownership of your own artwork. We use it to design, proof and make your pins, and we do not publish it or show it to anyone else without asking you first.

Designs and artwork

The designs, artwork, proofs and molds Hockey Dream Pins creates for your order belong to Hockey Dream Pins, including the copyright. You receive the pins you order, and we make that design again only for you or your organization. Logos, names and marks you send us stay yours. By sending them, you confirm you have the right to use them, and you allow us to use them to make your order.

Dates

The order-by dates on this site are worked back from our real production and delivery times, with a margin so pins arrive the week before your tournament rather than during it. They are honest estimates, not guarantees, and shipping is the part neither of us controls.

If you are past a date, say so rather than assuming it is hopeless. There is usually still a way, and we will tell you plainly if there is not.

Paying

Your price is on your order page with your proof. Approving a pin locks in its quantity and starts production, and the invoice for the full price is sent when production starts. It is due on receipt, by card or bank transfer. Custom pins are made for you alone, so once production starts the order cannot be cancelled. To add more later, place a reorder of that pin from your order page.

You can approve the artwork before you know how many - we make the mold, and production and the invoice follow once you add the quantity. Where we have agreed a deposit or a different arrangement for your order, it stands as agreed.

Associations that pay by check are invoiced in full when their pins ship. Every price includes shipping, and there are no setup or mold charges.
